By the end of the time at the Musee D'Orsay we were both feeling rather tired, so decided a relaxing cruise down the river would be a great way to finish our first day in Paris. It was great to see the Australian and French Flags together outside many of the buildings along the river.

Paris 23rd April 2016
We left the apartment around 9.30 this morning, as we had to mer the manager of the apartment at the office to pay our rent. We headed to the Metro station, just a short walk away, and managed to organise a ticket and catch the train to Chalet, where we needed to change trains. After a long walk and way too many stairs we eventually found the line to take us to Less Halles. Very proud of ourselves - we didn't get lost :) From here we caught a Taxi to the Galleries Lafayette, known in Paris as a Bazarre - WOW - it is amazing, a beautiful domed ceiling and every brand you could think of.
Next stop was the Musee D'Orsay. We visited this museum last time www were in Paris. It is a spectacular building - actually an old railway station. Couldn't resist looking at the Impressionists, especially the Monets.
