Sunday 16th September, 2018

We had a lazy morning, John then went for a walk, and was going to spend some time drawing the church and buildings in the town, but it was blowing a gale and too cold, and then he found out that the church wasn't built until 1850 - not quite old enough !!!he came back to the boat and tried to sketch the bridge in front of us, but people kept mooring in front of us.

When Jo, Chris and the kids arrived, we decided to see if the pub at the top of the lane way, would do takeaway meals.  Jo called and ordered Sunday roast for 4 adults and 2 kids. The pub did a really great job -  we were all impressed.  We spend the rest of the afternoon again just being together, talking, laughing, drinking, until it was time for them to leave !!!! lots of hugs, kisses and tears :(:( We have had two great weekends with them and enjoyed every minute.

We have become great friends - amazing that it all started in a tiny restaurant in Rome about 6 years ago, sitting at tables next to each other, and basically being asked to leave, so they could shut for the night !!!!!
As they walked over the bridge - we cruised under it on our way further up the canal in search of internet, which we found after about 1/2 hour.
