Saturday 15th June, 2024 -London

 Today was Trooping of the Colours, which we stayed specifically to see.

We ordered an Uber for early in the morning, as we wanted to get a good spot on The Mall, which we did. We were there by 8.15am, and situated on the corner of The Mall and Horse Guards Parade.  At this point the weather was overcast but not raining, but still about 2 hours to wait until the parade. 

Even at this stage the security was noticeably high, as we expected

The rain started just as the Parade did, but thankfully not too heavy at this point.

Just at this point the heavens opened and it poured quite heavily.  We did get a little wet, but it was worth it.

After the parade we made our way to St Martin-in-Fields Cafe for lunch and a warm cup of tea

As it was our last afternoon in London, we decided to do a cruise up the Thames

Back to the apartment, to finish packing and have an easy dinner  bought from the Deli downstairs.
