After 4 1/2 days at sea, we arrived in Ponta Delgada at 7am this morning to an overcast rainy day, which cleared quite quickly. It was quite a long walk from the ship to the main street. We walked around for a little while. It seems to be a pretty place. We visited the church, Sao Pedro, which is a catholic church overlooking the port. It was very ornate, but not overly big inside
The architecture was seemed quite different, with maybe a Spanish influence ?
from here we walked back across to the port, for John to have a local beer, which he says could pass for Carlton Draught. 
A few photos of the ship tonight after dinner. The weather was lovely so we walked back on the outside deck, which is about 330 metres
