We left home this morning around 8.15am and dropped the car at Deanne's place for the 6 weeks while we are away. Deanne, Daniel and Xavier were ready and waiting to take us to Albury Airport for our 10.10am flight to Sydney, which was delayed by 30mins. We had approximately 4 hours before our flight to Singapore, which we were lucky enough to spend in the Qantas Club (thanks Kerrie & Ken) which was much appreciated. The flight to Singapore was also delayed by about 30 mins, and after a short refuel stop, we boarded again for our 12.5hr flight to London, Heathrow. Total travel time of approximately 28 hrs or so. We were very pleased to see our luggage arrive as well 😊
After picking up the rental car we set off for Oxford and our accomodation. While waiting for check in time, we did a drive around the local area, including up a one way street, the wrong way !!!! and decided that we were too tired to be driving and checked in early. The manager at the accomodation, was nice enough to make us a cup of tea while we waited for our room.
After a drink at the Dew drop Inn, we had dinner at Joe's Bar & Grill and then an early night
I’m envious of your stamina! I read all the Inspector Morse books ( and am an Endeavour fan, so found your Oxford sojourn very interesting. Keep up the good work! Two ticks so far...💕
