Saturday 1st June, 2024 - The Cotswolds - Bourton-on-the-Water

We had arranged to meet Chris, Jo and the kids in Bourton-on-the-Water, at about 11.15am, as there is a Model Village there.  They got stuck in traffic and didn't arrive until 12.15pm, so we all went straight to the Model Village.

The Model village is the only Grade 11 listed model village in the country, and is a one ninth scale replica of Bourton-on-the-Water, and has a model of the model village within it !, and is made of Cotswold Stone.

There was also a display of minature scenes and room sets which depict traditional English Life - these were amazing !!!

After leaving the Model Village, we went to the Kingsbridge pub for lunch and the made our way to the Motor and Toy Museum at the other end of the town.

A walk back through town and an expensive stop (for Jo & Chris) at the Lolly Shop !! and it was time to say goodbye.  We had spend most of the last 3 weekends with Jo, Chris and the kids, which was great and there were quite a few tears as we left.
We went to the Co Op for some groceries on the way back to Whichford and then went for a drink at the pub next door.
