Sunday - 9th September, 2018

After a very ordinary nights sleep, It got worse !!! the bed was rock hard, the toilet seat was broken and then this morning the shower didn't work !!! Back to reception we went !!! They were full of apologies, and advised that they would move us, as soon as the guests from the wedding checked out.  They also offered as Sunday night dinner on the house.
We drove towards Tamworth, and decided it was a little early to arrived on Jo & Chris' doorstep (11.00am), so we called into a Pick Your Own Strawberry Farm for morning tea.  There were quite a few families picking and we thought it interesting that Strawberries were being grown in troughs above the ground in bags of soil - at first glance it looked like they were like grape vines.  After a nice cuppa we headed across Hints Lane to Jo & Chris', who were busy eating Tim Tams, which we had bought with us.  Jo, Chris and the kids seem to love them :)  Looks like I will be posting packages of Tim Tams to the UK !!! We all headed out for a pub lunch - to a different pub.

  

 We had a great afternoon again, and after tea and Tim Tams back at the house, we left them to get organised for their week ahead.  A busy one, as Jack has just started school, and this will be his first full week.  In the UK the school year starts in September.
Once back Brook Marston Farm, we were taken to a lovely room.

 We had dinner (on the house)and spend some time speaking to another couple, before retiring for the night.
