Wednesday 12th September

We set off at about 10am this morning and cruised up the canal towards Cosgrove and Wolverton.

We cruised for about 3 1/4 hrs and went across a Aquaduct and watched the traffic on the road below.

After another hours cruising we stopped at Wolverton to go to the Tesco Supermarket.

We went on further and crossed another Aquaduct over the River Ouse. As we were starting off again, after coffee, we met another couple and went through the Cosgrove Lock together.  We had all intentions of stopping at the Barley Mow Pub, but completely missed it - it came up a lot quicker than we thought !!! The other couple missed it as well, but they reversed back to it.  We continued on for about another 1/2 hr, knowing that there was another Pub coming up.  We stopped at a pub called the Navigation, which really good mooring right beside it and a gate into their garden.  John went and checked if we could moor there for the night.  All good, it was a public mooring :) how lovely and convenient.  As it was a Tuesday night, we thought it would be reasonably quiet, but it seemed to be date night and was very busy.
