Friday 2nd September, 2022

 We left hotel and made our way to the dock, where we unload our luggage, took the hire car back to Hertz and caught a cab back to the dock.

After a 2 hour induction we set sail through the Leeds Basin and out on to the river. John, the company Skipper, who is on call 24/7, stayed with us until we got the first lock, which was electric, so very easy for John to use !! Meanwhile, I stayed on the boat and drove the boat into and out of the lock, apparently, in text book fashion according to the Skipper.  Didn't hit a wall or gate at all 😀 John the Skipper, left us to our own devices at this point, and it was then I managed to get the Swans v Demons match on AFL Radio, so as soon as possible we pulled up and listened to the final quarter. Woohoo Swannies 🔴⚪ Preliminary final her we come !!!

We continued on for a for a couple of hours, before we moored for the night, alongside the towpath.  We ate on the boat - Sausages, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms.
